TANSU was originally published in 1981 as an introductory reference to Japanese cabinetry.
Early in 2011, we were advised by our publisher that after two editions and numerous printings over 30 years, stock of our book had sold out and TANSU would not be reprinted. While accepting this inevitability after such a long run, we felt a continuing responsibility to share our thoughts and knowledge through a new communications medium. With that in mind we created TansuCabinetry.com.
